Lakou Reserve is a coffee and cacao brand by SLDS International. We keep this simple: we ask for the least we need to send you great coffee, we protect it, and we never sell it.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our store, place an order, or sign up for our newsletter — and what we do with it. By using this site you agree to the practices described here.
We only collect information you give us, plus a small amount your browser shares to make the site work. Specifically:
Checkout happens through a dedicated, PCI-DSS–compliant payment processor. Your card details are entered into a secure, encrypted field that sends them straight to that processor — they do not pass through and are not stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation that the payment succeeded and a reference for the order. We cannot see or store your full card number, security code, or PIN.
We use the information above only for clear, expected reasons:

You only receive our newsletter if you actively sign up for it. We will never add you to it just because you placed an order. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. You can also email us at hello@lakoureserve.com and we'll remove you promptly.
We use only the functional cookies and local storage needed for the site to work — for example, remembering what's in your cart and keeping your checkout session secure. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the store (like the cart) may not work as well if you do.
We share your information only with the service providers who help us run the store, and only with what they need to do their job — for example, the payment processor that charges your card, the email service that sends your order confirmation, and the shipping carrier that delivers your package. These providers are bound to protect your information and use it only for those purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
We collect only what we need and keep it only as long as it's useful. Order records are retained as long as required to support your purchase and meet our tax and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Information is protected with encryption in transit and reasonable safeguards against unauthorized access.
